About the Role

Do you have a track record of exceeding your quotas selling SaaS products? We are looking for an outgoing Business Development Representative to help grow SmartShyp's core client base. This is an entry level position where you’ll be prospecting new customers, maintaining the relationships you have already built, and playing a key role in driving SmartShyp's sales initiatives. You'll be working with a wide range of customers. As an early member of our business, this role will play a pivotal part in driving the advancement of the sales organization.

What we expect:

  • Call and qualify potential SmartShyp customers that have shipping needs.
  • Answer questions to educate potential customers on the benefits of SmartShyp and the steps required to onboard.
  • Schedule appointments over the phone and email for Account Executives
  • Manage a pipeline of leads to successfully grow sales
  • Communicate with other members of the SmartShyp  team including Proposals, Project Operations, Design, and others.
  • Keep detailed records and log all interactions and communications with prospects and other stakeholders in SmartShyp's CRM system
  • Support the Sales Development and SmartShyp Management Team in other duties as needed


About You:

  • Passion for Ecommerce and business operations.
  • Strong work ethic, aptitude, and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Previous call center/inside sales/tele-sales experience highly desired
  • Proven track record of success (i.e. consistently meeting quota)
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Pass a pre-employment criminal background check
  • You have built your resume selling enterprise software, SaaS, and web services
  • You are comfortable developing new relationships every day
  • You have a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas
  • You have a strong desire to drive progress and grow SmartShyp's business
