We all know of the big holidays for eCommerce: Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas. Then, of course, there are 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Valentines. Almost every retailer in the country does some type of promotion around the big holidays.

But did you know there are literally hundreds of holidays and observances throughout the US that you can use as promotional events? Some are national, some are state level, some are local.

But as an eCommerce business owner, you want to give your customers every reason possible to come to your store and buy something. A promotion for X% off on selected items for Pioneer Day in Utah may be a perfect reason for someone to buy. Or perhaps it’s Bunker Hill Day in Massachusetts.

Depending on your niche and product selection, we’re certain you can use the following list of holidays to find an excuse to promote your store. Think big. Go beyond the few big holidays everyone expects. Take a look at the following list and start thinking through your 2019 promotional strategy.
